Technical Requirements Students must have their own device, especially a laptop. If you do not have your own laptop or PC, these are available for students when on campus, if they are attending face to face.
Take Note The learning activities and content of our programmes require that the primary device that you will use should be a desktop computer and/or a laptop computer. Although you may find it beneficial to use a mobile device like a smartphone or a tablet when you are “on the move” to quickly access your programme, mobile devices are not considered sufficient to meet the technical requirement of our programmes. There are computers available at each campus to assist you on your eta journey if you are attending face to face.
Resources Access to all learning resources, library books and journals are included in eta tuition fees
Data Wifi is free on campus and can be accessed before, during and after classes if you are studying via face-to-face learning.
Campus Learning eta provides study spaces with devices and wifi. eta provides work integrated learning (WIL) learning programmes'. This approach encapsulates a number of methods of acquiring knowledge, which can include but is not limited to problem-based learning (PBL) where learning and assessment include theoretical, practical and work-based activities that simulate or represent professional practise. It also includes simulated activities, which represent real-life work place. It can include case study or project-based activities, which elicit evidence of students’ applied knowledge. WIL can also include presentations from work place representatives who may provide insight and practically orientated learning about the workplace to our students (through classroom presentations or webinars for DL students). eta's teaching and learning process involves work-based learning. Forming part of the teaching and learning process, work-based learning (WBL) is learning for, at, or through work experience. WBL focuses on practical experience in the workplace. Work-based learning is a component of WIL and students are required to complete a minimum amount of hours in the work place, where students must provide evidence of a range of work-based experiential learning hours from the workplace.-
Distance Learning eta provides a clear timetable for the duration of the programme. eta guides you through the course work at a manageable pace. Own data is essential to download and work efficiently through the programme.
