What do you enjoy most about this course?

The ability to assist our students in the learning process to achieve their goal of becoming personal trainers in the industry. The course is extensive and adequately equips the individual with a blend of theory and practical learning for the work environment.

What are the key learnings/ focus areas that students can look forward to?

The course provides various key learning pathways. The studies focus on understanding human anatomy, and the ability to train the body appropriately by providing correct and safe exercise selection tailor-made for everyone.

What career paths does it set students up for?

With this course, the students can Personal train and lead small group sessions. The benefit of doing the fitness certificate course is that once passed, provides an avenue to continue onto your second year of studies, whereby a student could choose to specialise in either the athlete or special populations (pregnancy, children and the older adults).  The foundation for these options are laid in the fitness certificate course and prepares the students adequately.

How many hours/ week will the average student spend working on this course?

1 hour every day of reading or studying is recommended. This would be sufficient when a planned schedule is utilised.

Finding new coaching methods and seeing how people handle situations, as well as the creative and innovative drills that come up. The National Certificate in Coaching Science allows you the stepping stone to specializing further in the industry.

What are the key leanings that students can look forward to?

How to grow your own abilities as a coach to develop athletes who can handle themselves psychologically on the field while pushing their physiological abilities and streamlining their biomechanical performance.

What career paths does it set students up for?

Conditioning coaches, assistant coaches, school sports, coaching facility team members. Plus developing basic mental skills across all sports with multifaceted interchangeability.

How many hours per week will the average student spend working on this course?

5-10 hours of studying through the Online eta Connect system with a minimum of 4 hours practical coaching a week.
